Brows

Day of Appointment

  • Come with clean skin. No sunscreen or heavy creams

  • No working out​

  • No additional guest 

Prior to your Appointment

2 - DAYS 

  • ​No blood thinners: Aspirin, Niacin,  and ibuprofen

  •  Alcohol

  • Caffeine

  • No Waxing

  • No tweezing

1 - WEEK

  • Discontinue Fish Oil

  • Discontinue Vitamin E

  • Don’t go tanning,  excess exposure to sun

  • No Sauna

 

2 - WEEKS 

  • No deep exfoliation in brow area

​

3 - WEEKS 

  • No Botox in brow area 

​

4 - WEEKS

  • Stop the use of retinol products

  • Stop the use of acne treatments

  • Stop the use of salicylic Acid

  • Stop the use of Accutane

​

2 - MONTHS

  • discontinue use of any antibiotics

Post Treatment

Proper aftercare is essential to having the best final results. Results may vary from client to client. Most clients will  need a touch up 6-8 weeks after their initial appointment. Touch ups are usually done every year but will vary depending on how well your skin retains the ink.

Do not touch your brows and relax.

Make sure to have a clean pillow case and avoid sleeping on your face.

Make sure to use the brow shields when showering and try to take short showers to avoid excessive steam.

Wait at least two weeks after the procedure to resume your normal method of hair removal.

 

DAY 1

  • Wash your hands with antibacterial soap prior to cleaning your brows.

  • Gently Clean Brows every1-2 hours with lightly damp cotton.

  • Apply a rice size amount of provided ointment to the brow with a Q-tip.

DAYS 2-10​

  • Normal - dry skin clean and apply ointment 2-3 times a day.

  • Oily skin only clean and apply ointment in morning and night.

  • In the first 3 days do not consume alcohol to make sure the  brows heal properly.

  • Do not get wet.

  • Do not scratch or peel.

  • Avoid sun exposure.

  • Avoid Baths

  • Do not get into pools, rivers, lakes or ocean.

  • Do not apply make up to brows.

  • No activities that will cause you to sweat.

  • Do not use retinol or acne preventive creams or treatments.

  • No facials, Botox, exfoliation or plastic surgeries etc. for 4 weeks.

  • If you experience any swelling, tenderness or excessive swelling contact your physician and let Karla know.

 

AFTER BROWS HAVE HEALED

  • Use proper sunscreen when tanning or being exposed to the sun.​

  • Excessive exfoliation or use of chemical peels on the brows will cause fading. 

​

HEALING PROCESS

Day 1-3 : Brows are full and dark. May have light swelling and redness.
Day 3-5: Brows will start to dry and flake. May also be itchy. Do not scratch/rub them.

Day 5- 10: Brows will be scabby and very flaky. Brows will start to fade.

Day 10+: as Brows heal they will fade and  when color comes back they may be a bit patchy and will lose some stokes. This will be corrected when you come in for your touchup.
